My time here at CITYarts has been one that has impacted my life in a positive way. It is always wonderful to meet and work with new people.
CITYarts has brought back my love for art. Working with the children at the different projects and helping them to paint I remembered how wonderful it used to be to take time out to express myself through art. The children were amazing and were always excited to get involved.
At one of the sites in particular, the Pieces for Peace wall, I learnt how much of an impact CITYarts had on the community. Numerous people came up to us while we were working to say how happy they were that we were restoring the wall and how much they loved looking at it. Even though I did not help to create the wall it always made me feel special to hear one of those comments and I was happy that I was able to be a part of the restoration process.
My eight weeks here has been great, getting to work with everyone in the office and helping with daily tasks. Everyone I met here were genuinely nice people. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful organization!
