Dear Friend,
We invite you to help us celebrate CITYarts' long history of impacting lives and transforming communities by joining the Leadership Circle for the 2010 "Making a Difference Through the Arts" Benefit, Auction, and Awards Ceremony. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, April 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the magnificent Ana Tzarev Gallery on 57th Street.
Celebrating over four decades of helping our children Paint Tomorrow's Dreams, CITYarts will honor Amir Dossal, Executive Director of the UN Office for Partnerships, as well as UN Goodwill Ambassadors who are making a difference around the world. It will be a memorable evening that will celebrate the work of artists, children, and youth who participate in our programs and, with your help, will give them more opportunities to succeed.
Since 1968, contributions to CITYarts have enabled us to work with over 100,000 kids, collaborate with over 500 artists, partner with over 1,500 sponsors, and engage over 500,000 volunteers in the process. CITYarts has revitalized and transformed the neighborhoods of New York City through nearly 280 public art projects including murals, mosaics, and sculptures. This year, funds raised at the Benefit will support our Young Minds Build Bridges program, particularly as we prepare to bring our Pieces for Peace art workshops to New York City public schools whose arts budgets have been drastically cut in recent years.
As a member of the Leadership Circle, you may receive priority seating as well as prominent placement of your name and company logo at the event and in all press releases and printed materials. The attached form details the different levels of sponsorship. We will call you in a few days to follow up. In the meantime, please feel free to call us at (212) 966-0377 with any questions.
Your help will make a great difference in ensuring that this year's benefit, CITYarts' only annual fundraising event, will be the most successful yet. The funds we raise at this event will help sponsor the Young Minds Build Bridges program with youth and will be a meaningful contribution toward a better future and a more beautiful city. Enclosed is a response form for your convenience. Thank you in advance for helping us ensure 40 more years of inspiring New York's youth and communities to make a difference through the arts!
All our very best,
Tsipi Ben-Haim Executive & Artistic Director

"Thinking globally - acting locally, CITYarts projects build bridges of cultural
understanding and give youth the opportunity to take an active role in shaping
their future".
-- Tsipi
Ben-Haim, CITYarts Executive & Artistic Director
MISSION
CITYarts empowers children and youth by bringing them together with
professional artists to create public art that addresses civic and social
issues, impacts their lives, and transforms their communities.
PROGRAM We give our children and youth the opportunity to get actively involved
in their communities, do something to make their world a better place, and
assume responsibility through the creation of murals and mosaics led by
professional artists.
PROJECTS
CITYarts public art projects give youth a stage to ask, "What does peace look
like to me?", "What can I do to reduce the speed of global warming?",
and other urgent and relevant questions, and to address them artistically
through cooperation and creation.
OUR RESULTS
Since 1968, CITYarts has created over 280
projects, transformed over 200 communities,
impacted over 100,000 kids,
collaborated with 500 artists, and
partnered with 300,000 volunteers in
the process, with the consistent sponsorship of corporations, foundations, and
individuals.
Thank you in advance for your generous support. Please donate now!
