From Artsy.net:

Best known as an architect, Claude Samton has also created art throughout his career, from drawings to large, complex photomosaics. His photographic work often depicts iconic New York buildings and other urban scenes through a fractured and multifaceted lens, paying homage to the environments where he has built his life and career. Samton’s keen sense of structure and space is evident in his manipulation of discrete images into a cohesive whole. Over 20 years of creating his collaged images, Samton has received commissions from several institutions and shown his work at the Museum of the City of New York and the Columbia School of Architecture, among others.
